A new academic year has begun at RT Holdings amid the hectic and exciting back-to-school season, bringing with it expectations and beliefs about the accomplishments K–12 schools will gain this academic year.
As always, until August, WASS and PennSchool are busy preparing to welcome students back to school after a long summer break. This year, Sydney International School System also joins WASS and PennSchool in that preparation since this is the first academic year of SISS teachers and students.
Previously, WASS, PennSchool, and SISS actively evaluated, examined, and validated the quality of the infrastructure system, refurbished and improved classrooms, and invested in more technologically advanced teaching and learning tools, including laptops and iPads. In order to enhance the quality of teaching and aid teachers in understanding orientations and strategies for the academic year 2023 – 2024, the Schools also organized Professional Development (PD) Week for teachers.
The Orientation Week series was held on a campus-wide and grade-level scale from August 14 to August 18, 2023. Images of students carrying their backpacks to school and eager to play with one another once again appeared on each School’s campus. As happy as the old students were, the new students quickly became acquainted with friends, teachers, and the School to prepare for their new exciting academic year.
The Orientation Week series also welcomed the participation of a large number of parents who came to meet and interact with the Board of Principals and Homeroom Teachers as well as to learn about study plans, activities, clubs, and orientation of the Schools in the new academic year. With the encouragement, messages, and positive feedback of the parent communities, WASS, PennSchool, and SISS will strive to improve and become the top choice of parents.
Students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 under RT Holdings officially started their academic year on August 21, 2023, following the conclusion of Orientation Week. With the information provided during the series of events, Parents and students should feel more at ease supporting WASS, PennSchool, and SISS in the upcoming academic year. Their journey to having access to international education will always be accompanied by the Board of Principals and teachers who are eager, committed, and devoted.
It is also hoped that Orientation Week has motivated us to exert greater effort in order to make the academic year 2023 – 2024 a success and bring about numerous advancements in education.
