The Closing Ceremony for the Academic Year 2022 – 2023, which took place on May 29th, brought about joyful and enthusiastic emotions, along with the heartwarming excitement of teachers and students at WASS and PennSchool. After a year of diligent studying, the students have grown and achieved noteworthy academic accomplishments, completing the school year with great pride.
The Closing Ceremony is always an important occasion for WASS and PennSchool communities to reflect on the journey they have gone through together, to share dreams, and to enjoy the happiness of success. The past year has been a challenging yet fulfilling journey, filled with joy and achievements.
The ceremony was held in a solemn yet warm atmosphere within the classrooms. On behalf of the School Board, the homeroom teachers read out a congratulatory letter from the Headmistress, serving as words of encouragement and gratitude for the students’ contributions and efforts throughout the past school year.
During the academic year 2022 – 2023, we witnessed remarkable achievements. Some students received national and international awards, which demonstrated their exceptional talents and abilities. Extracurricular activities, clubs, cultural events, and sports have created a diverse, dynamic, and vibrant environment. This not only helped us develop skills but also fostered teamwork and creativity. With their academic and extracurricular accomplishments, WASSers and Home Of The Eagles have also received gifts and commendations for their outstanding achievements.
The ceremony concluded with a festive event and an exchange among students in each class. After today, the students will officially bid farewell to their teachers and friends as they embark on a summer vacation filled with enriching and exciting experiences.
The Closing Ceremony is not only an opportunity for students to reflect on the journey they have traversed but also a time for WASS and PennSchool communities to look towards the future. It is a moment for us to set new goals, seek opportunities, and shape ourselves to welcome a more successful academic year in 2023 – 2024.
