The 11th Vietnamese Teacher’s Day at WASS: Impressions and emotions

As a Principle of The Western Australian International School System (WASS), Ms. Tran Thi To Nhu has made many great contributions to WASS’s development over the years. In the first issue of IEDG Connection magazine, she would share her memorable journey while working at IEDG with us.

How close to your heart is your position at WASS?

Working at WASS and being a member of IEDG is a turning point that brought great changes to my life. From 2010 to the present day I have had the chance to get experience through several different jobs from teaching to management. While employed at IEDG, I have found passion, happiness, and real love in my teaching career.

What motivation makes you stay with IEDG for such a long time?

At IEDG, I have seen my own passion through the working spirit of my colleagues whom I collaborate with. We keep in us a tenacious will, resilience, and innovative spirit to overcome all obstacles and challenges, in order to make the best development platforms for the future generations of our country.

For me, the love of work always goes hand in hand with the responsibility of growing people

In your opinion, what are the factors that could make the success of WASS as well as IEDG nowadays?

I think the success of both WASS and IEDG was made by constantly innovating, updating our training programs, upgrading our facilities, and improving the professional qualities of both our teachers and staff. At IEDG, we are always receiving companionship, understanding, and support from the Board of Directors. Thanks to that, this place has become an ideal working environment for all of us to work and learn a lot of new things to improve ourselves day by day.

Could you share your feelings about your ambition and expectation about IEGD in near future?

When being a teacher with the responsibility of educating students, every day of work is one of personal fulfillment. I love the fragrance of new pages from the books and the innocent voices and smiles in our student’s adorable faces. All of them make me feel truly happy when thinking about my journey at WASS.

For me, the love of work goes hand in hand with my responsibilities in teaching. No matter how many years have passed, I still keep the ambition that my colleagues and I can make positive changes in creating and developing IEDG to become the pinnacle of international education environments. I believe that IEDG is now and will continue to be modern, integrated, and globalized, due to our continuous efforts of self-improvement.
