Responding to the United Nations’ call on International Day of Peace this past September under the theme “Invest in Peace – For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day,” RT Holdings schools joined the global beating pulse through a series of meaningful, creative, and hope-filled activities.
On the day of the event, school spaces across WASS, PennSchool, SISS, and WASS Kindergarten were transformed into a sea of peaceful blue. Wearing blue to school created not only a beautiful picture of connection, but also served as a powerful statement of our students’ shared belief and commitment to building a peaceful world.
The highlight of this year’s Peace Day was a lineup of immersive experiences that allowed students to express their perspectives and take action for a peaceful world. Students enthusiastically shared heartfelt messages through postcards – conveying words of kindness, respect, and positive thoughts that bridged warm connections between teachers and peers.
Additionally, students immersed themselves in creative workshops, folding paper cranes for peace, crafting artistic projects, and learning about the significance of this day. This deeper understanding helped them realize that “investing” in peace is not something far-reaching, but begins with small acts of kindness every day.
The Peace Day series continued our journey of nurturing young minds. Through these hands-on experiences, RT Holdings reaffirms its commitment to building a safe, happy school environment – where the seeds of peace sown today will grow into a strong foundation, empowering students to step out into the world with compassionate hearts and a sense of responsibility.
