Proud Achievements of the “Lions” of WASS
WASS students have made a strong impression on both regional and national VEX Robotics arenas. At the VEX Robotics Asia Open 2025 in Beijing, among more than 600 teams from nearly 30 countries and territories, the Panda Robotics team – featuring four WASS students – won the Excellence Award, the highest honor of the competition, along with several other prestigious titles. Meanwhile, at the VEX Robotics National Championship 2026, the WASS-ITEAM team also delivered an outstanding performance, earning major awards such as the Teamwork Champion Award and Mentor of the Year.
Notably, both teams secured qualification for the VEX Robotics World Championship in the United States, marking a historic milestone for Vietnamese teams and powerfully demonstrating the international competitiveness, STEM excellence, and global integration capacity of WASS students.
Beyond robotics, WASSers continued to make a strong impression at the Vietnam AI Contest 2025, where artificial intelligence projects aimed at sustainable development were highly regarded for their creativity and practical applicability. The awards earned reflect a rigorous learning journey in which students are encouraged to think boldly, experiment confidently, and persistently pursue their ideas to fruition.
These remarkable achievements are not only a source of pride for students, teachers, and Parents, but also compelling evidence of the School’s long-term commitment to cultivating a generation of global citizens – confident, innovative, and ready to shape the future through science and technology.
The Jaguars’ Footprint
Winning the Excellence Award at the Southern Regional Qualifying Round of the 2026 VEX Robotics 2026, the SpaceX team from Sydney School (SISS) advanced to the Final Round in Hanoi with a strong competitive spirit, effective teamwork, and solid STEM thinking. Despite facing many challenges, the students completed the entire competition journey with distinction, leaving a strong impression through their learning mindset, perseverance, and passion for technology – continuing to affirm the science and technology education orientation of Sydney School in particular and RT Holdings as a whole.
