Besides the lessons modeling the thrilling adventures, Summer Camp 2024 students also participated in a series of events with many memorable experiences.
On July 12, the little angels of WASS Kindergarten celebrated a friendship day with the theme “Friends Are Like Stars.” Here, the little WASSers engaged in various activities to strengthen their friendships, concurrently connecting and expanding their “circle of friends”. They energized the atmosphere with the “Friends Song” dance, participated in team games such as ball passing, three-legged races, and “Guess Who”, drew portraits of their favorite friends, and made handmade gifts. Each experience conveyed meaningful messages aimed at building a loving and united community.
As part of the summer event series, the WASSers immersed themselves in a vibrant International Festival, enjoying traditional dances from various countries, expressing their individuality with face painting and hair braiding booths, and fully engaging in physical games. All these exciting activities created a fun experiential space, celebrating the cultural fusion of countries worldwide. The Field Trips to Snow Town and Jump Arena provided students the chance to experience challenging activities, promoting physical development and creating unforgettable memories. The “Family Merriment Day” was held for the first time, offering a great opportunity for all family members to create memories together through the salted egg sponge cake decorating activity. Finally, the “Scholar’s Arena” Competition and the “Tech Summer Camp” Competition created an opportunity for talented WASSers to showcase their skills and knowledge acquired during the summer camp.
PennSchool’s Summer Camp events kicked off with Field Trips to The Pizza Company and the Nhat Huong Baking Vocational Center. These trips enlightened the #HomeOfTheEagles about cultural diversity by delving into diverse rich cuisines and the secrets of making delightful pastries unique to European and Asian countries. The “Global Cultures Family Fest” event strengthened the PennSchool community through meaningful bonding activities. “The Unity in Diversity: The Continental Olympiads” provided an intellectual playground for #HomeOfTheEagles to enthusiastically display their extensive knowledge about the continents gained during Summer Camp 2024.
During Summer Camp 2024, the Jaguars also had equally exciting experiences as they explored world cuisine through the unique event named “SISS: World Appetite Fiesta”. The event was even more enjoyable with the participation of parents, creating memorable family moments. Exploring the Dinosaur Park, learning about light projection technologies, immersing in the world of holographic circus, and having fun with games in the world of lights were memorable activities for the Jaguars during the Field trip at Jazzy Paradise. To provide an opportunity for the “little athletes” to showcase their talents, promote team spirit, and express their love for sports, the “Summer Sports Carnival” event featured thrilling competitions in familiar sports such as Soccer, Dodgeball, Tug of War, etc.
Each experience not only created beautiful memories and opportunities for the student community to interact and learn from each other but also spread kindness through meaningful fundraising activities for the Schools’ Community Fund. The funds raised will continue to be used for community projects, including the main project “Yen Bai, For a Brighter Tomorrow” to support children and residents in Yen Bai Province.
