Small Daily Efforts in the Classroom Carry Great Meaning
Surprise, pride, and happiness were the emotions felt by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc when her name was announced as the First Prize winner of the “Innovative Teaching Awards 2025” at WASS Kindergarten. Let us take a moment to listen to her inspiring journey throughout this meaningful competition.
– Hello Ms. Bich Ngoc. Could you share the inspiration behind your project “Multisensory Math Lab: Engaging Preschool Learners through Touch, Sound, and Movement”?
Warm greetings to our valued readers. The inspiration for my project came from something very simple – my daily classroom lessons. I realized that when Math lessons revolve solely around paper-based exercises, many students quickly lose focus and become less engaged.

Therefore, I wanted to change my approach and transform Math lessons into moments where students can move, communicate, and interact more actively. When students participate in hands-on activities, games, or group work, they not only understand the lesson better but also feel more relaxed, confident, and interested in the subject. That is why I chose to design Math lessons that emphasize experiential and multisensory learning.
– Your project made a strong impression in terms of both professional depth and creativity. How did you feel when being honored with this award?
When I first learned that my project was highly evaluated and received the award, my initial feeling was surprise. This year’s competition featured many excellent projects with innovative ideas and thoughtful investment, so I did not expect my work to receive such recognition.

However, looking back on the journey, I feel truly happy because what I achieved was not a coincidence. It was the result of continuous experimentation, adjustment, and persistence in pursuing a teaching approach that I genuinely believe suits my students. This award feels like a meaningful affirmation that the small efforts we make every day in the classroom truly matter.
– Many believe that competitions create a positive environment that supports teachers in self-reflection and professional growth. What is your perspective on this view?
In my opinion, professional competitions such as the Innovative Teaching Awards offer many practical and meaningful benefits for teachers. They are not merely spaces for comparison or evaluation, but more importantly, opportunities for teachers to reflect on their own teaching practices, learn from colleagues, and broaden their professional perspectives.

By being exposed to diverse ideas and approaches, teachers gain greater motivation to adjust their methods, update their knowledge, and enhance their skills. In the long run, this not only contributes to teachers’ professional development but also has a direct and positive impact on the quality of students’ learning experiences.
Thank you, Ms. Bich Ngoc, for taking the time to share your meaningful and heartfelt stories. Once again, congratulations on your remarkable achievement at the “Innovative Teaching Awards 2025″. We hope this award will continue to serve as a powerful source of inspiration, motivating you on your journey of dedication and long-term commitment to education at RT Holdings.
