Cheerful melodies, radiant smiles, and vibrant energy – all are captured in the academic year music video (MV), a special gift from RT Holdings’ School systems to students at the start of the new academic year.
Careful Preparation
Music videos with the theme of welcoming the new academic year were carefully planned and produced throughout July and August, with contributions from multiple departments: Event (lead), Media (filming and editing), IT (recording), supporting department as well as the Board of Principals, teachers and students from each School – the main cast of the project.
To deliver a complete and polished production, each project went through several stages: selecting a suitable song, rewriting the lyrics to align with the new academic year theme, developing the script, recording, filming, and editing. Each step required close collaboration and creativity to both reflect each school’s unique identity and bring forward a fresh, emotional experience.
Ms.Tran Thi Lam Oanh – Event Specialist – shared: “At the beginning of the project, I felt quite anxious about taking on such a large-scale cross-department music project. To be honest, singing and acting are not really my strengths. I was worried that I might struggle to convey my ideas effectively. But whenever challenges arose, I received tremendous support – my colleagues helped me work with foreign teachers, the Media team advised on camera angles and set arrangements, and the B.O.P and teachers were all cheerful and supportive. Thanks to this project, I not only gained more experience but also built stronger connections with my colleagues”.
Collaboration and Shining Moments
With extensive experience in MV production, Mr. Nguyen Tho Tai – Media Specialist – emphasized the importance of teamwork: “Each department has its own strengths, and by contributing ideas, we can create a better production. Our team also strives to bring in cinematic camera angles so that each year’s MV feels refreshing and unique”.
He also praised the enthusiasm of the teachers: “The MV included many dance and acting scenes that weren’t easy, yet the teachers performed naturally. Through this project, I realized many of them have real artistic talent and deserve more opportunities to showcase this side of themselves”.
Echoing this view, Mr. Huynh Trung Hieu – School Supervisor of SISS – highlighted that the MV was a chance for teachers to truly shine: “Many teachers have a passion for singing, dancing, and acting. This project not only reignites those talents but also creates a platform for them to express a different side of themselves”.
With over 20 years of experience in directing and choreography, Mr. Hieu was entrusted by the Board of Principals to coach teachers in their performances. He carefully selected teachers for suitable roles, worked closely with the Event and Media teams to refine the script, and made full use of the School’s facilities to capture both beautiful scenes and their most iconic spaces.
He also expressed his appreciation: “One thing I truly value is the company’s continuous investment in equipment and facilities. For example, this year we had an in-house recording studio, which made it much easier for teachers to arrange flexible recording schedules and quickly make adjustments when needed.”
Fresh Experiences and Proud Results
For Mr. Nguyen The Tuong – IT Specialist – participating in the Back-to-School MV marked a completely new chapter in his 20-year journey with RT Holdings.
“Having been with the Group for so many years, I’m used to learning and applying new technologies. But this time, being directly in charge of sound engineering gave me a unique experience. What I loved most was combining my personal passion with my professional expertise, which both satisfied my interests and enhanced my skills,” he shared.
Reflecting on the project, he admitted one of the challenges was the tight timeline for recording and mixing:
“Alongside my usual responsibilities, producing a high-quality track within a limited timeframe was not easy. Luckily, the teachers involved had great singing abilities and were very open to feedback, so the recording and editing process went smoothly.”
After weeks of hard work and close collaboration, the MV was completed with results that exceeded expectations. Everyone involved expressed pride and satisfaction in seeing their collective work – a production carefully crafted in every detail, from sound and visuals to emotion.
More than just an artistic project, the Academic Year MV stands as a heartfelt gift from RT Holdings to students and the wider school community – with the hope of inspiring joy, confidence, and motivation for the exciting learning journey ahead.
