At the end of May, the Prom for high school students at WASS and PennSchool was organized by the Student Council members, bringing forth a plethora of emotions for those who attended.
One of the indispensable events in American and Australian high schools is the Prom party, where students dress up like princes and princesses. And this glamorous and dazzling event also took place at WASS and PennSchool for students from grades 9-12.
As the night fell, the Prom with the themes “Hollywood Night” for WASSers and “Medianoche” for Home Of The Eagles marked the readiness of the students. Temporarily leaving behind their familiar white student uniforms, each person displayed confidence in their impressive and more mature outfits, radiating brilliance. Everyone appeared radiant, showcasing their beauty and charisma during their special Prom night like sparkling stars in the night sky.
The event kicked off with an essential activity on every Prom night – finding the King and Queen, who would be the most beautiful and outstanding individuals in the party. The most impressive candidates from the previous rounds were selected for the final round, which included showcasing their talents through a catwalk and live interviews on the stage of Prom 2023. The judging panel for the King and Queen search this year included the actress – Ms.Trinh Kim Chi. With her extensive experience in the entertainment industry and her discerning eye for talent evaluation, actress Kim Chi contributed by creating a vibrant and exciting atmosphere in the competition.
After the announcement of this year’s King and Queen, they opened the floor for their “prommate” to perform a dance set to melodious, romantic, and slightly cheerful music.
The grand music party was ready for WASSers and Home Of The Eagles to ignite their emotions with the impressive performances of Grey D – a singer who captured the hearts of the audience with his handsome, charming appearance, carrying a romantic and dreamy spirit; Wean – a male rapper with an incredibly cool music style, and DJ Triple B – the artist who contributed to the success of this year’s Prom.
The most anticipated and final activity of this event was the lucky draw for the attendees. The lucky draw also fostered a sense of unity and trust. When a student received a prize, their joy was shared and cheered on by everyone, creating a spirit of unity and harmony.
The event not only provided joyful and memorable moments on the last day of the school year, but also provided an opportunity for the alumni to return to school, meet, and interact with the next generations at WASS and PennSchool.
