The WASS Community Spreads Sustainable Values Through Small Actions
Earth Day at WASS is not only an occasion to fill the school with vibrant green outfits, but also a meaningful opportunity for students to promote sustainable living and inspire small actions that create a big impact on the environment and the community.
On April 22, 2025, all WASSers from Kindergarten to Year 12 actively took part in Earth Day through a variety of meaningful activities such as learning to sort waste, planting and caring for trees, conserving electricity, creatively crafting items from recycled materials, and participating in the Plastic-Free Day. Little WASSers and Jaguars Joined Hands toPrevent School Bullying
Carrying meaningful messages such as “Be a Buddy, Not a Bully” and “Jaguars Together, Kindness Forever”, Pink Day 2025 at WASS Kindergarten and Sydney School was not only a chance to highlight the importance of kindness and empathy, but also a powerful reminder that these values must be nurtured and expressed daily through even the smallest actions.
Beyond raising awareness about school bullying, Pink Day allowed students to understand that genuine care, respect for differences, nurturing friendships, and responding to situations with empathy are essential foundations for creating a joyful and supportive learning environment.
In addition, for every pink shirt worn by the Jaguars on Pink Day, Sydney School contributed 10,000 VND to the Sydney School’s Community Fund “Build A Better Tomorrow”, supporting projects under the broader main project “Yen Bai – For a Brighter Tomorrow” (Phase 2).
From the green of Earth Day to the pink of Pink Day, the journey of nurturing kindness and sustainability in the hearts of our students continues to grow each day. Through small yet meaningful actions, the WASS and Sydney communities are building a compassionate learning environment and inspiring generations of students to love, to care, and to take action for a better future.
