The loudspeakers echo with cheerful tunes and meaningful stories across PennSchool campuses, signaling an exciting new week for the #HomeOfTheEagles community. GoodVibes Monday@PennSchool is a weekly radio program produced entirely by PennSchool students. It offers students from Grades 4 – 12 the opportunity to experience the process of “digital content creation” – from production, directing, and scripting to editing and reporting.
The broadcast content includes the monthly highlights, along with upcoming projects, programs, and activities at PennSchool, as well as featured or inspiring stories and individuals within the “mighty eagles” community. Notably, the program does not have a fixed “production team” but instead opens participation opportunities for all students who have a passion for broadcasting. Each week, a new team of directors, technicians, announcers, and content creators will collaborate to deliver a meaningful and engaging program that also reflects their unique style.
Through this program, students can discover their strengths, develop essential skills, and explore dynamic fields such as Communication, Public Relations (PR), Journalism, Hosting, and the Arts.
Accompanying the #HomeOfTheEagles in each podcast episode is the Program Committee, consisting of dedicated Board of Principals. They provide guidance from idea development to ensuring creative, innovative content that aligns with PennSchool’s educational philosophy, while also assisting with technical operations and broadcasting.
Students also have access to state-of-the-art recording and broadcasting equipment, continuously upgraded to ensure a safe, enriching, and inspiring learning experience.
