MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH TEACHER

GENERAL INFORMATION

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with school curriculum standardsand learning outcomes.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, linguistic, and social-emotional needs of middle school learners.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes student wellbeing, responsibility, and active participation.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies, questioning techniques, and learning activities to develop students’ mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.
• Design and implement formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional planning.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
• Integrate educational technology and digital resources effectively to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold the school’s mission, values, and professional expectations.
• Participate in school events and activities, including parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school leadership team.

WORKING HOUR

40 hours per week (7:30 – 16:30) from Monday to Friday.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Mathematics, or a related field.
• Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related subject area, combined with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, state teaching license, or equivalent).
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience at the middle school level, preferably within an international or bilingual school setting.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and use a variety of teaching and assessment methods to support diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and time management skills.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute positively to team planning and school initiatives.
• Proficiency in integrating educational technology into teaching and learning.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership.
