Australia In The Heart Of Saigon

Strong in economy, progressive in educational thinking, rich in cultural identity, and blessed with abundant natural landscapes, Australia has long been an inspiring foundation for RT Holdings in designing globally oriented programs that nurture students’ holistic development.

In celebration of Australia Day (January 26, 2026), WASS, SISS, and WASS Kindergarten hosted a vibrant Australia Day event, bringing the spirit of the “island continent” to life in the heart of Saigon.

School campuses were transformed with the iconic green and gold of Australia, alongside the striking red, blue, and white of the national flag. Students, teachers, and staff enthusiastically dressed in themed outfits, creating a festive and dynamic atmosphere throughout the Group.

At WASS Kindergarten, hands-on craft activities allowed young learners to explore distinctive elements of Indigenous Australian culture in an engaging and age-appropriate way. Meanwhile, the “Golden Bell Challenge” at SISS offered Jaguars an exciting platform to showcase their knowledge about Australia. At WASS, activities were thoughtfully designed to be both engaging and academically meaningful, integrating the three cross-curriculum priorities of the Western Australian Curriculum: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures; Asia and Australia’s Engagement with Asia; and Sustainability.

More than just a celebration, Australia Day at WASS, SISS, and WASS Kindergarten created meaningful opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of Australia’s culture, people, and education system. Through these diverse activities, students strengthened their creativity, presentation skills, communication abilities, and confidence – fostering global-mindedness and supporting their journey toward comprehensive development and future international study aspirations.
