Christmas is the biggest celebration of the year, a time filled with warmth and meaningful moments. During the final days of the year, students at WASS, PennSchool, and SISS had the chance to take part in a series of fun and festive Christmas activities. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to bond with friends, explore the rich cultural traditions of Western countries, and create lasting memories in an atmosphere filled with love and joy.
Embracing the Christmas Season with Vibrant Experiences
From December 2 to December 20, 2024, WASS Primary, Secondary, and High School students enthusiastically participated in a series of meaningful and creative activities to celebrate the Christmas season under the theme “Into the Universe of Stellar Christmas”, with notable events including “Mystery Singer”, “Paper Roll Christmas Door Decoration”, and “Australian Christmas Comic Strip”. Particularly special were “Dear Santa” and “Santa Claus Comes to the Classroom”, where students wrote letters to Santa Claus expressing their wishes and were delighted to receive their desired gifts right in their classrooms. Through these engaging activities, WASSers explored the wonders of Christmas, decorated their classrooms and Christmas trees with recycled materials, wrote letters to Santa Claus, and participated in games with teachers and friends.
At WASS Kindergarten, from December 16 to December 19, 2024, our little WASSers participated in the Christmas event “WASS Gingerbread Village” with activities such as “Holiday Card-Making & Gift Exchange” and, “The Giving Tree & The Tree of Cherished Moments”. Through these activities, our students created decorations to contribute to the fundraising booth at the Christmas Fair, crafted unique Christmas trees at home with their parents, and wrote letters to Santa Claus.
To celebrate the second Christmas season at the happy school, from December 10 to December 20, students at SISS participated in a series of exciting activities for the Christmas festival “Joy to the World”, which included writing heartfelt letters to Santa Claus to share their Christmas wishes, crafting a Christmas tree with their homeroom teachers using recycled materials, and capturing memorable moments in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas house.
Beyond the festive events at WASS, PennSchool, and SISS, students were also treated to a delightful Christmas buffet, offering a selection of dishes inspired by Western holiday traditions. This festive feast was not only a culinary experience but also a chance for students to come together, share joyful conversations, and create lasting memories with friends.
Spread Love and Warmth to Society Together
With the desire to share love with the underprivileged in society, WASS and PennSchool organized charity drives themed “Warmth for All: WASS Santa’s Charity Drive” and “Charity Gift Station”. The gifts collected from the “Warmth for All: WASS Santa’s Charity Drive” were donated to children at SOS Children’s Village Go Vap (Ho Chi Minh City). Each gift was a token of encouragement, bringing warmth and happiness to the children during the Christmas season.
At WASS Kindergarten, our little WASSers participated in a donation drive with the theme “Little Contributions, Big Future” as part of the “WASS Gingerbread Village” festival. They generously donated school supplies, books, toys, and clothing. On December 28, 2024, representatives from WASS Kindergarten visited Tam Binh Children Protection Center in Thu Duc City to deliver these meaningful gifts to the children. Each gift carried with it the love and care of the WASS community.
In a collaborative effort to spread love to underprivileged children, on December 20, 2024, the Student Council and House Captains delivered Christmas gifts to the children of the Children’s Hospital with the support of the Social Work Department. Through this activity, students gained a deeper understanding of the significance of sharing and helping others and hopefully provided additional motivation for the young patients to overcome their challenges.
Continuing the journey of sharing love, RT Holdings’ school systems organized a Christmas Fair on December 23 and 24, 2024. The fair featured unique stalls, exciting games, and vibrant activities. Students had the opportunity to purchase Christmas decorations, handmade gifts, and interact with each other through karaoke and other fun games.
At PennSchool, the School organized a fundraising event featuring an auction of 16 unique artworks, including multi-themed paintings, Christmas trees, 3D paintings, and handmade light boxes created by the students themselves. In addition to the auction, #HomeOfTheEagles participated in a series of Christmas workshops such as Christmas tree decorating, painting figurines, and creating wooden bags and keychains. All proceeds from the auction, Christmas Fair, and workshops will be donated to the School’s Community Fund to support the “Yen Bai, For a Brighter Tomorrow” project (Phase 2).
The Jaguars’ Adventure to Snow Town
As part of the Christmas celebrations at the happy school, the Primary students of SISS embarked on an exciting trip to Snow Town Saigon on December 23, 2024, for their December Outdoor Learning Experience. During this adventure, the students participated in thrilling activities with artificial snow in a European-style town replica. They had the opportunity to learn new knowledge through practical experiences, immersing themselves in the unique atmosphere and cultural highlights of Western countries.
Although Christmas has passed, the love and warmth experienced during the holiday season remain a cherished memory for our students. These experiences have sown the seeds of love and compassion within them. Our activities have not only provided opportunities for fun and friendship but have also laid the foundation for our students to become responsible citizens who are caring and considerate of others.
