The two recent Practical Learning Activity trips to supermarket chains and the HCMC Metro station provided students with an opportunity to step outside their familiar classrooms and “touch” the wider world beyond, helping them connect their knowledge with everyday life, develop confidence, and strengthen their social skills.
In the familiar yet refreshing environment of the MM Mega Market and Emart supermarket systems, the little WASSers eagerly observed the colorful varieties of vegetables and fruits, enjoying the process of sorting food groups that are healthy or unhealthy. Some students confidently asked their teachers about unfamiliar dishes they had never tried before, while others joyfully shared about their favorite foods. Every moment of excitement or curiosity demonstrated that the little WASSers are confidently expressing their own thoughts and learning to connect the knowledge they have acquired with real-life experiences.

Meanwhile, the Practical Learning Activity at the HCMC Metro Station offered an entirely different set of experiences. The little WASSers observed various types of vehicles moving along the streets, admired both ancient and modern architectural structures, and explored the HCMC Metro station – one of the city’s notable landmarks. At the station, the students learned about the ticket vending machines, how to select a ticket, and the safety rules when traveling by metro. These are all direct and hands-on lessons that classroom instruction alone cannot fully convey.
The trips within the framework of the Practical Learning Activities provide excellent opportunities for students to visit various locations and connect these experiences with their classroom lessons, contributing to the development of their observation skills, critical thinking, confidence in self-expression, and a stronger sense of connection with their peers. This also clearly reflects RT Holdings’ orientation in equipping students with practical knowledge while applying modern learning approaches to their journey of exploration from the early years.
