In November, students at the WASS, PennSchool, and Sydney School (SISS) participated in a variety of creative, meaningful, and heartfelt activities as part of Book Week 2025. The series of events opened up a magical journey for students, where each page became a doorway to knowledge and beautiful values that nurture the mind and spirit.
Book Week has always been one of the most anticipated events across RT Holdings, bringing together all member schools to spread a love for reading and cultivate the habit of exploring knowledge. From inspiring reading spaces to literary-themed creative activities and community projects that foster compassion, Book Week provided students not only with access to knowledge but also opportunities to grow emotionally, develop skills, and strengthen their sense of social responsibility.
Nurturing Knowledge and Sparking Creative Inspiration
At WASS, International Book Week 2025 offered a series of inspiring learning experiences under the theme “From Readers to Leaders: The Power of Knowledge”. The campuses buzzed with excitement as every corner was filled with books and a spirit of discovery. Students explored a wide range of new titles at the Book Swap and Teacher’s Top Picks areas, sharing their favorite stories with teachers and friends, and broadening their perspectives on the world around them.

Creative activities such as Bookmark Design, If I Were an Author, and Explore the Authors allowed students to express their artistic thinking and leave a personal mark on each creation. Meanwhile, competitions like Storytelling, Book Review Video Challenge, and From Book to Stage became stages for WASSers to confidently voice their thoughts, refine their communication skills, and develop critical thinking.

A highlight of the week was the Hand-in-Hand project, where students learned to share and empathize by sending meaningful gifts, including books, stuffed animals, and treats, to children in difficult circumstances. These simple yet heartfelt acts nurtured empathy and awareness of social responsibility in every WASSer.
A Journey of Self-Discovery Through Every Page
At PennSchool, the spirit of Book Week 2025 was captured in the core belief that reading is not just a skill, but a journey of exploration and personal growth. Every page turned by the #HomeOfTheEagles opened up new stories while helping students better understand the world and themselves.

Each book provided opportunities to cultivate a natural passion for learning, shape character, expand vocabulary, strengthen focus, and spark imagination. Above all, reading nurtured empathy, teaching students to care for and understand others.
Throughout Book Week, students at PennSchool engaged in a variety of activities, including creative book cover design, sharing favorite books, participating in Book Debate competitions to hone critical thinking and presentation skills, and interacting with authors through the “Friends with Books” program. A particularly special highlight was the Parent Book Reviews activity, where parents joined their children in a Reading Circle lesson, experiencing firsthand the classroom environment and their child’s engagement in learning.

Spreading a Reading Culture and Planting Seeds of Kindness
Book Week 2025 at SISS, with the theme “Book An Adventure”, unfolded in a lively yet warm atmosphere. Jaguars immersed themselves in the world of literature through emotionally engaging storytelling sessions, embodying characters and exploring the depth of classic works, thereby developing imagination, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.
A visit to Ho Chi Minh City Book Street offered students the chance to experience a rich literary environment, meet and listen to the inspiring stories of Author Hoang Nguyen Thuy, and nurture dreams of becoming young writers in the future.

Additionally, the spirit of giving was strongly emphasized through the “Book Donation – Sharing Love” program. The SISS community contributed more than 700 books, nearly 100 notebooks, various school supplies, and 35 boxes of milk to Anh Sang Shelter and Ky Quang 2 Pagoda. The visits created touching moments and helped students deeply appreciate compassion and the value of giving.

Book Week 2025 has come to a close, but the journey of exploring knowledge for all students across member schools of RT Holdings continues, providing a precious foundation for them to grow into globally-minded citizens full of knowledge, empathy, and inspiration.
