Nothing Brings Me Greater Joy Than Seeing My Students Grow Each Day

Could you share your initial feelings upon learning you would be receiving the Golden Apple Award?

When I found out I was receiving the Golden Apple Award, I was truly overwhelmed with happiness. I felt incredibly grateful for my colleagues who constantly show me love, support, and inspiration every day. This joy isn’t just mine – it’s the result of the incredible teamwork at WASS Kindergarten, full of passion and dedication to our profession.

Every child is like a seed, each growing in their own way. In your opinion, what is the most crucial catalyst for a child to become more confident and mature each day?

In my view, love and understanding are the most important catalysts for a child to grow in confidence and maturity. When children feel that their teachers listen to them, respect them, and love them unconditionally, they’ll bravely explore, dare to make mistakes, and learn to grow in their own unique way.

There’s a saying: “You don’t always see the fruits of your career, but there will be a moment that makes all efforts worthwhile.” So, what has been the proudest moment for you throughout your journey with the children?

Without a doubt, my proudest moment is seeing my students, particularly one child who started out very shy, now gradually gain the confidence to express their thoughts more each day. Not only that, but they even brought that newfound confidence onto the stage, smiling brightly and speaking up in front of everyone. Watching them on stage, I could feel their eyes telling me, “I did it, teacher!” At that moment, I was almost speechless, my heart fluttering with pure happiness.

Some environments help us excel at our jobs, while others help us become a better version of ourselves every day. What does RT Holdings represent to you?

For me, RT Holdings is more than just a workplace – it’s a second home where I feel inspired, valued, and constantly growing. Every day here is a meaningful journey where I can be myself and, alongside passionate colleagues, gradually become a better version of myself.

You always appear with a smile and a gentle demeanor towards the children, but everyone knows it’s not easy to maintain that energy every day. What do you usually do to keep that energy alive each day?

Whenever I see the children’s eyes crinkle with joy over small things, I learn to find happiness in simplicity. I always remind myself of the meaning behind my work and grow to love every moment with the children even more, as it’s a crucial part of their growth journey. Furthermore, I feel fortunate to have colleagues who always share and inspire, ensuring I’m never alone in my journey of loving children and staying passionate about my profession every day.
