Marking 100 Days of School with Students Across Our School Systems

The first 3 months of the school year 2024-2025 have passed in a vibrant atmosphere, marked by many proud milestones achieved by students at the Western Australian International School System (WASS) and the Sydney International School System (SISS). Witnessed by parents and teachers, students have created a memorable moment to mark the 100-day milestone on their journey of growth and development in both knowledge and personality.

Happy 100th Days at WASS: Grateful and Cherish Every Moment

WASS’s 100-day celebration was a heartfelt event for Grade 1 students and their families, offering a meaningful opportunity to look back on the first 100 days and create lasting memories together. The event featured a vibrant exhibition of students’ artworks and academic projects, accompanied by engaging activities such as family photo sessions, tree planting, guessing games, and keychain designing to commemorate this milestone.

For the past 100 days, students have been working hard to surprise their parents with amazing performances. Witnessing their children grow day by day, parents could not hide their pride and emotion through their proud eyes and words of praise for the performances on stage. The show culminated in a heartwarming video showcasing highlights of the students’ learning journey, with each frame vividly depicting the positive changes in the children’s growth journey.

As soon as the video ended, the WASSers stood up and gave their parents letters filled with sincere thanks for trusting and creating conditions for them to study and develop. Each letter had a naive but sincere handwriting, expressing deep gratitude for their parents’ sacrifices and efforts.

A Journey from Surprise to Overwhelming Pride at the “Our First 100 Days of Blossoming” Event

Welcoming the second school year with the theme “Wellness Blossoms Where Innovation Leads,” SISS remains dedicated to fostering a happy environment where students are nurtured with love like blossoming flowers. By combining modern technology with a focus on well-being, SISS aim to develop a generation of happy digital citizens. During the first 3 months of school, the Jaguars enthusiastically engaged on academic projects and diligently practiced for special performances to contribute to a meaningful and memorable event.

At the Sydney International School System’s 100 Days of School event, parents were invited to witness firsthand the incredible work of their children such as the 3D design projects, academic projects, and artwork. Each presented project had its own unique flair, but what they all shared in common was the dedication and pride felt by the students when expressing themselves in front of their families during the event.

The highlight of the event was the meticulously prepared special performances. From the vibrant melodies to the modern dance, the SISS community came together to present energetic and captivating performances. The resounding applause after each performance was a great encouragement for the students to continue striving for even greater achievements in the future. Notably, the fundraising booths at the event became a bridge of kindness, uniting the SISS community to join hands in raising funds for the people in the “Yen Bai, For a Brighter Tomorrow” project.

To commemorate the first 3 months of the school year, PennSchool held a vibrant Sports Day filled with various athletic competitions including football, badminton, and swimming. The enthusiastic atmosphere of Sports Day infused each school day with renewed energy and excitement.

In addition to their academic pursuits, our students have been actively engaged in a wide range of extracurricular activities, developing valuable life skills. The 100 Days of School event was a heartfelt dedication of their accomplishments to their teachers and parents, creating a memorable milestone in their journey. We look forward to witnessing their continued growth and success in the journey ahead.
