A Heartfelt Thank You to All of the Beautiful Women
The writer Ntozake Shange once said, “Where there is a woman, there is magic.” At RT Holdings, this magic is embodied by the dedicated and passionate women who work tirelessly to make the Group thrive. With heartfelt appreciation, we invite our valued RT Connections readers to listen to the sentiments and engaging stories shared by our male teachers and staff in celebration of Vietnamese Women’s Day.
1. Could you share your thoughts and feelings about Vietnamese Women’s Day?
Mr. Nicholas Perata (PennSchool): I think Vietnamese Women’s Day is a really great holiday! It helps everyone focus on the contributions that Vietnamese women make every day. It also gives men the perfect chance to show our appreciation for all that they do. Actually, it’s a beautiful tradition!
Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong (WASS Kindergarten): October 20 is not only a day to honor women but also an opportunity for everyone to connect more through gifts and shared moments. Moreover, this is also a meaningful opportunity for students to express their love and gratitude toward the dedicated teachers who enrich Vietnam’s education every day.
2. Are there any special memories that stand out to you about October 20 while working at RT Holdings?
Mr. Phan Tuan Anh (Digital Marketing Department): Every October 20, my male colleagues and I come together to prepare surprises for our female colleagues. Planning, preparing, and organizing a party for them on this special occasion is always a memorable experience for me at RT Holdings.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong (WASS Kindergarten): One unforgettable memory of October 20 was probably in 2023, when the entire school organized a special party for the female teachers. My male colleagues and I prepared small gifts and heartfelt cards. However, the teachers’ joy turned to amusement when they realized all the cards were identical. With a playful tone, they remarked, ‘Mass-produced cards are sweet, but we’d love handwritten ones next year!’. Their comment had the whole school laughing along.
Although we might be a bit clumsy, my male colleagues and I always strive to create small surprises for our female teachers, hoping to express our appreciation and love. The happy look on their faces when they received the gifts created an unforgettable memory.
Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong (WASS): On October 20, 2022, WASS held the “Super Vietnamese Woman I Admire” contest. As a homeroom teacher, I encouraged all my students to participate by writing an essay about the woman they admire most. As a result, my class won 2 WASS awards (First and Third place), including a First-place essay that I’ll never forget, written by student Nguyen Nam Anh.
In his essay, he compared his mother to a superhero,describing how she has been a constant guide through the uncertainties of adolescence. His honest, heartfelt emotions in his writing surprised me greatly. He expressed his admiration for his mother – a sincerity that few people manage. Through his essay, I gained valuable insights into the profound human values of love and gratitude towards women. It’s a memory I’ll cherish forever, and I often share his story as an inspiring message to my male students, encouraging them to courageously express their love for the women they cherish.
3. On the occasion of October 20, do you have any special wishes for your female colleagues at RT Holdings?
Mr. Nicholas Perata (PennSchool): I would like to say “thank you” to all of my female colleagues, especially the homeroom teachers and co-teachers. I can’t even begin to list all the times you have helped me take care of students’ problems, complete administrative tasks, coordinate group activities, and more. I am very, very grateful! By extension, I would also like to thank all of the female staff at RT Holdings. You do so much to keep everything running smoothly and professionally. You are a huge reason why this is such a great company to work for. Happy Vietnamese Women’s Day! You are stars — keep shining!
